What we're looking for

We are on the lookout for passionate an Intermediate Fullstack Developer to help us build the starting point for pet journeys everywhere. We aim to change the way pet dogs are sold online. Come shape the future of the pet industry with us!

This role is perfect for someone with a couple years under their belt, looking to have a huge impact on a growing startup. You'll have unprecedented autonomy and growth potential, matched with the responsibility to execute.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a Intermediate Fullstack Developer at RightPaw, you will be:

Building and shipping new core features including puppy payments and making improvements and iterations to our existing breeder CRM and marketplace directory
Contributing to growth initiatives and working closely with stakeholders to hit goals and metrics
Balancing rapid iteration speed with the overall stability, security and modularity of our system in an agile team
Working with team to make pragmatic tradeoffs for time-to-market balancing business constraints with scalable infrastructure
Championing development processes and provide feedback in peer reviews, pair programming and knowledge sharing sessions
Help maintain strong and automated testing for core business logic (payments, secure messaging)
Contribute to application monitoring and logging to ensure we get notified of errors before the customer does
Addressing bugs in a timely manner

As a Intermediate Fullstack Developer, you will need to:

Be comfortable and happy to code in Typescript and Javascript
Take ownership of problems - suggesting technical and innovative solutions. We want you to challenge the status quo.
We love curious minds and to hear different perspectives on how we can improve - whether it be processes, the codebase or the way we do things.
Have empathy for other devs - code should be easy to follow.
Effective communication, in and out of the technical team - be able to explain complex concepts simply
Be comfortable diving into AWS

Extra brownie points if you:

Are analytical
Like to understand why
Have experience in building SaaS products
Have experience in payment integrations
Love dogs or have a dog or puppy!

RightPaw connects verified, responsible breeders with potential puppy owners, and supports them through the process of buying their new pup. Breeders can use our CRM to manage their applications and identify the best potential homes for their pups.
